Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to announce Opening Day plans, including entertainer slated for Feb. 28, 2023!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – You still have some time before you need to break your cowboy boots, but make no mistake, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will be here again soon.

The rodeo plans to remind everyone of that Thursday at 10 a.m. when the organization reveals what’s available for opening day, including the first artist.

Two weeks after the 2022 event ended, Rodeo shared that in 2023, the event will run from February 28 to March 19.

The Bar-B-Que of the world famous championship will be held from February 23-25

A limited number of 2023 season tickets went on sale in August.

The rodeo celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2022, which marks a much-anticipated return to business after shutdowns and cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, livestock and young horse show competitions continued, but as private events.
